A Taste of Mexico

Let's talk about the food, because that's where Tacos Azteca truly shines. Many folks rave about the Menudo, served piping hot and full of traditional flavor. The Pastor tacos are another big hit; the marinated pork is cooked to perfection, tender with a slight char, making each bite a delight. You can grab a plate of Tacos Rice and Beans for a hearty meal, or keep it simple with classic Chicken Tacos. Don't forget their Hot Sauce. It brings a nice kick without overpowering the dishes, adding that extra layer of zest many people look for in Mexican cooking. And if you're feeling adventurous, try a Quezadilla or even their Hairy Tamales, which are a unique and tasty treat.

After a particularly rough start to my day, I decided to follow my mechanic's suggestion and check out the breakfast plates here. What a turnaround! I departed feeling considerably brighter, thanks in large part to the chorizo with eggs, rice, and beans. That dish truly hit the spot, satisfying a deep craving and providing the perfect comfort to help me put the previous day completely out of mind. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to sample more of their menu, and it's great that parking is readily available.

The food here was truly excellent. I stopped by for lunch and decided on their #17, which featured a delicious Mexican-style steak accompanied by rice and beans. They also included a generous portion of tortillas. My only slight reservation was the practice of placing salsa containers and utensils directly on top of the food, which isn't my personal preference. Despite that minor detail, the meal itself was still incredibly satisfying. For anyone using the drive-through, as I did, a quick ring of the doorbell is necessary to get their attention.

My online order for four fajita tacos didn't offer a choice for flour tortillas, which I would have definitely preferred. While the meat itself was great, the tacos arrived with double corn tortillas that were unfortunately thicker and drier than I typically enjoy. I ended up transferring the delicious filling to some store-bought flour tortillas, and that made all the difference, truly elevating the meal. Even though the accompanying salsa was quite spicy for my palate – I admit I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to heat – it certainly delivered on flavor.
